DamVent AHU max.e3 15 for BREEAM Excellent mark in Central London
As the concern for the carbon footprint rises and the BREEAM assessment method is becoming more and more of a standard in the modern buildings, infrastructure and masterplanning projects, DamVent Ltd is also part of this new sustainability movement.
In 2015 one of our state-of-the-art 3rd generation AHU, namely the one-piece e-conomizer max.e3-15 (16500m3/h) was used as central ventilation unit complete with heat recovery and built-in heat pump utilizing up to 100% of the extract heating/cooling, to minimize the requirement of supplementary heating to the fresh air supply in a brand new 9 storey Cat. A 65,000 sq ft office building located on the corner of Bishopsgate and Liverpool Street, Central London.

The DamVent max.e3 15 is one of the crucial Building Services elements of the Aldermans Building that help it achieve a Carbon Saving of 11%. This helps the building to achieve BREEAM Excellent mark.
We would like to thank DamVent representative in the UK-Phil Bullock and GDM Partnership for the excellent job they did with this project.
The combination of old and new buildings also presented a challenge to the distribution of fresh air and other utilities, but our e-conomizer max.e3 15 reached and exceeded.
